Paris le 30 January 2019 – Alliance Entreprendre, together with BDR Invest and Invest PME, is participating in the quaternary LBO of IPS, a Dijon-based group with €11 million in turnover providing fire safety services for the B2B market.
Created in 1971, the group of 130 employees specializes in the audit, installation and maintenance of safety equipment (fire extinguishers, fire valves, alarms, smoke extraction systems, etc.). Long anchored in Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur, the group has grown, opening regional sales offices in Cambrai, Nanterre, Troyes, Lyon, Annecy and, more recently, Marseille.
Addressing a mainly clientele consisting primarily of public entities, the group has more than 7,000 customers, mainly amongst the country’s administrative, educational and healthcare institutions. IPS teams check more than 500,000 control points per year, thanks in particular to the implementation of an extranet platform enabling each customer to monitor and add to their fleet of installations.
This new transaction allows the company’s CEO Patrick Bergdoll to take a majority stake in the company, in view to accelerating the group’s organic development by opening up to new markets, but also through structuring external growth.
Patrick Bergdoll, CEO of IPS: “This is a new phase in the life of IPS that is just beginning and will enable us to establish the new growth drivers necessary for the group’s successful development. I am very happy to be able to rely on a team of both regional and national investors, with whom we have common values.”
Philippe Boudriot, General Manager at Alliance Entreprendre: “We are very pleased to be able to support this leading company of the Dijon region in a new phase of its development. We were convinced by Patrick Bergdoll’s vision and plans for the development of his group, one aspect of which involves external growth in a buoyant and still very fragmented market.”
Mathieu Perrot, Investment Director at BDR Invest: “We have been following the IPS group and its CEO for many years and are pleased to have an opportunity to build a concrete relationship. This operation fits perfectly into our strategy of supporting committed regional business leaders through operations with high growth potential.”
Mathilde Faglin, Investment Director at Invest PME: “We are delighted to be supporting Patrick Bergdoll in the challenge ahead of developing and structuring the business through continued digitalization of the Group, alongside regional and national investors whose philosophy we share.”
